Ministries of our Church

Grace Immanuel is not a group of people who have all decided to worship in the same place. We are a spiritual family. We are a household of faith. One of the great blessings of the New Covenant is that we are all one in Christ Jesus. We respect all backgrounds and desire to develop ministries that are geared toward fostering a climate of closeness and acceptance of all Christ’s people.

During the school year, Pastor Johnson and other elders meet with men who have varying levels of interest in Christian ministry. These gatherings take place every other Lord’s Day after the evening service. The time is devoted to teaching, discussion, and hands-on training, with the hope that the Lord will raise up men to be spiritual leaders in His church.

The Reformed Baptist Scouts at Grace Immanuel support fathers in discipling their sons to become godly men: faithful husbands, fathers, churchmen, and citizens. Designed for boys ages 0–12 (when each father deems them ready), the group emphasizes intentional father-to-son instruction while also surrounding boys with the mentorship and example of other faithful men. Proverbs 3 offers a clear biblical vision for the wisdom and character we seek to instill. For more information, please see Caleb Waters or Joel Vannette.

This is an outreach ministry to kids and families in Grand Rapids. We meet once a week during the school year.
